The new Markup tool in DocReviewPad brings the beautiful fluidity of handwriting to your document review. Now you can circle key phrases, jot notes in the document margins and more! It’s fast, intuitive, and precise, like writing on paper, but smarter. With full Apple Pencil support and powerful control over what annotations are shared or kept private, the new Markup tool feature gives you the freedom to work your way, seamlessly blending handwritten note taking capability with the existing power of DocReviewPad.
Reviewing documents isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. You may at times prefer to type using the sticky notes which appear in reports, and at other times find that physically writing annotations helps you think more clearly or remember key details. With the new Markup tool in DocReviewPad, you have the best of both worlds. Handwrite, highlight, and draw directly on your documents with the ease and fluidity of pen on paper!
The Markup tool lets you naturally annotate PDFs, photos, or screenshots right inside DocReviewPad using Apple Pencil, a compatible stylus, or even your finger. Whether you prefer to underline, circle, draw arrows, or handwrite quick thoughts in the margins, everything feels smooth, precise, and immediate, just like working with real paper.
You also have access to a full set of markup tools, including:
• Pen, marker, or pencil for different writing styles
• Eraser for quick cleanups
• Ruler for perfectly straight lines
• Color picker to match your preferred annotation color
The new Markup tool is responsive, intuitive, and designed to make your document review process feel as natural as flipping through a binder and jotting notes in the margins.
Sometimes, annotations are for your eyes only. That’s why DocReviewPad gives you complete control over what you share when exporting documents. When you’re ready to produce documents, you can choose to:
• Include your handwritten markups, keeping your annotations visible.
• Exclude your markups, ensuring clean, production-ready documents.
This means you can confidently mark up your documents any way you like, knowing you have full control over what stays personal and what gets shared.
To prevent accidental disclosure, DocReviewPad automatically excludes any documents and pages to which you have applied Confidential or Privileged Tags. If you want to include Confidential or Privileged documents or pages, simply toggle the exclusion switch OFF, and continue with your export.
DocReviewPad was built to make document review efficient, mobile, and intuitive. The new Markup tool takes that one step further, blending the natural feel of pen and paper with the flexibility of digital review.
Paired with other powerful features in DocReviewPad, like issue coding, Bates stamping, and granular exports, this new addition ensures reviewing, organizing, and preparing productions is faster, more flexible, and more personalized than ever.
If you haven’t tried the Markup tool yet, update DocReviewPad in the iPad App Store and give it a spin with your Apple Pencil or stylus. You’ll find the new Markup tool in the toolbar while viewing documents, ready to help you draw, circle, on handwrite your way through deposition prep, trial prep, or document production.
We can’t wait to see how you use it to make your workflow even more seamless!
