In early June, Apple held its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and announced many exciting updates for iPadOS and macOS. We’re already thinking about how these changes can unlock new possibilities in the LIT SUITE. iPhoneJD.com did a great post on why lawyers will love iPadOS 26 (the new numbering convention!).
From more powerful multitasking tools to multiple windows, and improved system intelligence, the updates coming this fall open the door to great enhancements across our apps. We’re already working behind the scenes to bring those improvements to life in ways that matter to legal professionals.
Here are a few of the features we’re most excited about, and that we think you’ll appreciate in your day-to-day work:
📍Redesigned Tabbed Interfaces and Window Management: Work on iPadOS more like you do on a Mac, with better app layouts and multitasking when reviewing transcripts, evidence, or timelines.
📍New System-Wide Fonts and Text Scaling Controls: Customize readability across apps, which is especially helpful when reviewing documents for long hours.
📍Customizable Control Center on macOS and iPadOS: Quickly access the tools you use most, whether you’re reviewing exhibits or jumping between documents in court or deposition.
📍Improved External Display Support: Better resolution handling and more flexible window positioning make it easier to use your iPad or Mac in extended work setups, whether in your office or the courtroom.
That said, a quick word of caution: as tempting as it may be to explore the public betas, we strongly recommend not installing them on any devices you rely on for work. Beta software can introduce instability and compatibility issues that may disrupt your workflow, especially when using mission-critical legal-specific tools.
We’re just as eager as you are to see what’s next, and we’ll be ready with updates that take advantage of the new capabilities once the final versions of iPadOS and macOS are released.
Thanks for being part of the LIT SUITE community!
